The Salaryman Project is on a double mission.
On one hand, it explores images of masculinity and normality in the world of Tokyo office workers.
On the other hand, by concealing the subjects’ identities, the project tries to adapt in a creative way to the increasing constraints of portraits rights on candid street photography.
Presentation as a weekly schedule allows references to office work and to the specifically Japanese sense of the season.

Levitation
Elevando el arte de los autorretratos a otro nivel, la joven fotógrafa japonesa Hayashi Natsumi nos sorprende con una serie de fotos en la cual vemos a la artista fotografiándose levitando por distintos rincones de Tokio. Para captar con su lente el efecto de levitar se necesita que el cuerpo se encuentre en suspensión estable en el aire, o sea, debe existir una fuerza adicional que contrarreste el desplazamiento del cuerpo o el objeto en levitación. Hayashi se las ingenia para poder conseguir este efecto interesante, se le ve haciendo de las suyas por el aire controlando cada detalle de su movimiento y expresión facial para conseguir ese “momento frisado”, como toda una experta desafiando la gravedad.

"BREATH" (Aliento) es el trabajo más premiado del fotógrafo japonés Tomohide Ikeya.
Se centra en la respiración, una actividad vital de los seres humanos -que es controlada por nosotros mismos. Un número infinito de burbujas de aire aparecen en el agua nos permite ver el "aliento" con total nitidez.
A pesar de que la respiración está inconscientemente en nuestra vida cotidiana, no es fácil respirar bajo el agua.  Nos damos cuenta el valor real de las cosas que siempre hay a nuestro alrededor, en el momento de perderlos. "BREATH" is the most rewarding work of Japanese photographer, Tomohide Ikeya.
Focuses on breath, a vital activity of human-beings which is controlled by ourselves. An infinite number of air bubbles appeared in the water enables us to see 'breath' with vivid clarity. 
Although we breath unconsciously in our ordinary lives, it is not easy to breath under water. We realize true value of things that always exist around us, in the moment of losing them. Some people accepts its control and wait for the end to come without bidding defiance to it. That is the contrast of holding on to life, which appears clearly under water...More
