WANDERLUST THE WANDERLOVERS
The Wanderlovers is about love and being totally interconnected. It’s a part of a visual stream of consciousness. It’s about an emotion in a simple photo. Somewhat high art, but also not so serious at all. Its about love. And putting yourself in this wacky extreme place of love where you truly connect with people. It can make you appear so bizarre, but if you have a real moment with someone it’s magical completely worth it. It’s pure light.

Sarah St Clair Renard was born in Gothenburg, a drizzly ship building town on the west coast of Sweden. She came of age in a time of homemade pink corduroy outfits and the “no-to-nuclear” movement. Growing up behind the stage of a theater where her single mother was as a prop maker nurtured her sense of narrative and story telling. After high school ended she moved to Los Angeles to pursue film and photography and after working on indie-films and traveling the world a bit, she enrolled in the Photography program at Santa Monica College from where she graduated in 2008.

Kasia says this about the story: “- Our inspiration were pieces from the collection of Magda Muzyka. Magda based prints of her colorful carapaces mainly on brain tomography and that’s why Kamila’s styling has the mixture of textures like latex, bandages or cat skin. The photos themselves are very sterile and clean with the strong color accent.”
