Photographer Thom Jackson and creative director Andrew Weir’s singular, visual sense of time and place has threaded through a set of past MDX stories. The first two found Julia Hafstrom in Marfa and Ronja Furer in Weatherford, Texas. Making the repeat duo something of resident collaborators at Models.com. Now the desert vistas of Tucumcari, New Mexico serve as the narrative thrust for their latest editorial. For their continuation, they arrive to familiar effect, one that is both polished and cinematic–only with new characters and location. Setting the scene Grace Simmons and Dani Witt are red-headed models on the lam calling on the romance of Thelma and Louise.

Photographer Signe Vilstrup began her carrier as fashion photographer in 2002 and has since then been very successful with creating beautiful, intriguing and magical universes for a wide range of Scandinavian and International fashion brands and magazines. And today she is one of the best working photographers in Scandinavia. 

Vilstrup is not bound by rules, while she often uses inspiring unorthodox and intuitive methods in her work. One could be tempted to call her an autodidact photographer.
