Jacques Dequeker nació en Porto Alegre, sur de Brasil, en 1970, vive en São Paulo desde 1998. Autodidata, comienza a fotografiar en 1997, influenciado por amigos como el fotógrafo Pedro Flores y el maquillador Duda Molinos, cuyo trabajo inspira imágenes realizadas por Dequeker. En 2000, publica su primer editorial en la revista Vogue Brasil, con la que colabora de manera habitual desde entonces. Dos años después, gana el premio de la Associação Brasileira da Indústria Têxtil como el mejor fotógrafo de moda de Brasil. Al año siguiente, comienza a publicar sus fotos en Europa. Vogue Portugal, Marie Claire, Glamour Paris, Forum Hasselblad, V Magazine, TWILL, El Pais, entre otros.

Jacques Dequeker was born in Porto Alegre, Southern Brazil, in 1970, and has lived in São Paulo since 1998. Self-taught, he started to photograph in 1997 influenced by friends such as photographer Pedro Flores and make-up artist Duda Molinos, whose work inspires images made by Dequeker. In 2000, the photographer publishes his first essay in Vogue Brasil magazine, to which he has contributed regularly since then. Two years later, in 2002, he wins the Brazilian Association of Textile Industry award for best fashion photographer in Brazil. In the following year, in 2003, he starts to publish his photos in Europe. Vogue Portugal, Marie Claire, Glamour Paris, Forum Hasselblad, V Magazine, TWILL, El Pais, among others.
