“Men-Ups” como él los llama, es una creación del fotógrafo Rion Sabean. Sabean está en su último año en la Universidad de South Florida en Tampa, donde está terminando sus estudios de arte y fotografía. La idea detrás de "Men-Ups" es colocar a los hombres que cumplen con los ideales estereotipados de lo que la sociedad piensa que es masculino y hacer que posen de manera ultra-femenina como una pin-up. Sabean admite que fue fuertemente influenciado por las chicas pin-up de Gil Elvgren de los años 50.

“Men-Ups” as he calls them, are the brainchild of photographer Rion Sabean. Sabean is a senior at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he’s wrapping up his degree in art and photography. The idea behind “Men-Ups” is to place men who fit the stereotypical ideal of what society thinks is masculine and have them pose in the manner of the ultra-feminine pin-up girls. Sabean admits that he was heavily influenced by Gil Elvgren’s pin-up girls of the 50’s.
